garfish

Post by Tomcat1 » Tue Jun 26, 2012 9:18 pm

went to mordi pier today fished all day with just a few small garfish. after dark garfish came in hot and heavy. soon as the hook hit the water we were pulling them out. caught my limit in like 30 minutes and started giving more away. no salmon or pinkies but the gar were good fun.

ok thats not what i would call a not bad day but a good day or great day 42 flatheads is a great effort reguardless of a few small ones.

I dont know about tomcat but here is how I do it:

Get a knife an fillet it, skin off - dont ask how it was possible to take off the skin that is a trade secret.
After cooking it, I put a portion in my mouth, chew and swallow. That is how it is eaten.

Man, It is obvious that I am bored!  Bloody work keeps me away from the water. Unfortunateky, the same work keeps me glued to a computer. :angryfire:
