leave all gear in the car at all times. there's 45min saved easy :lolf:adamk wrote:its hard enough land based trips.cobby wrote:Dude I hate taking people I know out let alone 2 randoms.... What's the point in kicking up a stink if you're not willing to take them either?
Fyi, I spend easy half hour rigging up most pre trips. Bimini twists and fg knots take time to tie. Then again I only chase one salt species, can't remember how long pre setup took for chasing red carp or Gummies
30m gather rods/tackle/bait/esky/ice
15m loading the car
?? travel
?? set up site
pre berley area
?? rig up
more berley
bait/cast
boats worse i've known people to travel out an forget the bungs for the boat an quickly have to get the boat back on the trailer lol
even worse when people tend to crack the sads when there not catching anything.
Anyone willing to take 2 blokes out on their boat for some$?

It is good to see two young blokes seeking experience on the water before they go out and blindly buy a boat. Too many times I have seen inexperienced operators out on the water creating numerous hazards. I wish you two blokes the best of luck and commend you on your mature approach to your future purchase of your boat.

Thanks really appreciate it, yes the smart way to go about it, we thought going out a few times with a few experienced blokes learning all the proper ways to do things before we go and buy a boat is probably the best way to go about it

This is where a charter is brilliant. Use an operator that cares enough to show you. Can recommend Mitch bertachini from online charters and Shaun Furtiere from think big. Well worth the $$Ryano1996 wrote:Thanks really appreciate it, yes the smart way to go about it, we thought going out a few times with a few experienced blokes learning all the proper ways to do things before we go and buy a boat is probably the best way to go about it

Gday All Fisho`s
This topic has dragged on and on.
I have read most comments regarding this and I have say is it wood be hard taking out ppl on ur own boat if u have not met them before, so maybe try a day land base fishing before hand together. My old man has a boat and I couldn't tell u the last time I went out with him. (And I love the saltwater Fishing too.) so I just take my son to the local piers when I get a chance but I know I don't stand as much chance catching a feed as I do on a boat. I did grab a decent deal from Mornington boat hire last year but I missed my chance to hire the boat for us two so I lost my cash. Never the less I have seen a few of u guys ask for a deckie for a day which is great for others so hopefully the two guys who started this Post mite be able to take up an offer soon. My mate use to have a boat and I went out in wpp a few times and everytime without fail I wood always leave sum cash in his glovebox as most normal ppl wood know that it does cost abit to launch and petrol etc...
Anyway good luck all with ur fishing this weekend and beyond..
Cheers Jase..

This is the only helpful comment through 4 pages of dribble. Good on you for offering mate :thumbsup:AVG_Fisho wrote:can you tie your own rigs ect, if so then i'd be happy to take you's out on my boat, just look out for my posts for spots, i only really fish 2 people in my boat though as 3 is crowded.

Re: Anyone willing to take 2 blokes out on their boat for so
geeez, this has been an interesting thread
mate, my boats out of action for a few months, transom, floor and re power, I be be happy to take a couple of young blokes out
to show them the ropes and get them out catching a fish or two, I can take 4 out comfortably in either bay.
I also do the mates day out every year, taking disabled people out with there careers, don't know who im taking until the actual day.
For all you blokes that dribbled on about tying knots, or unable to do your own thing while taking them as well, or the difficulty in
being responsible for two novices or young blokes you don't know ! and the extra bait used !geez unbelievable !!
Simple question from a young bloke wanting the chance to get out and have a fish !
If your boats to small and cant, or you don't like socialising, or your to scared you'll give your " secret spot" away, then don't do it.
equally, don't make pathetic excuses about why it shouldn't be done.
mate, as soon as my boats up and going, I'll message you and see if your interested in a day out !
Ive got no problem what so ever giving someone a chance.
Geez, wonder if you guys also come up with those sort of answers when you find someone out on the water with issues that need
assistance !
hopefully some one will offer before my boats up and on the water, good luck
