Re: Mordialloc pier.
I think this old man is there every day or so, because every time I go there (which is not very often anyway) he is there holding his position on top of the pier with his rods out for a big stuff.
I found that Mordi is a bit of fail lately … only small salmon that I'd rather keep it to grow for next year, or some gar when it is calmer weather (not much happening) and that's is, nothing special about it this winter.
This is why I focused more on Surf fishing the great ocean road this winter, which is very active lately and produces better size fish, or sometimes I head after bream in geelong.

Nah I don't think so vinhii haven't seen anyone (or very rarely) targeting anything but gars and salmon the last few times I've been there. Then again that night I didn't go and have a look at what was goin on myself, my mate did while I was busy untangling his line as usual lol.
I have found Mordi to be quite productive on the gars and salmon and think i may have already got enough bait for snapper season. Being somewhat still new to fishing I have found it quite enjoyable adapting rigs, burley, target species and finding the right conditions/times to catch fish, and Mordi being probably the closest pier from my house I love the place...until it gets crowded that is lol.
