Yeah I spoke to a bloke yesterday who showed me a flick of a 3.5kg off the beach a bit further up from Brighton towards sandy! Weird fish indeed.

was at Brighton for high tide early got doughnuts along with the 50 others down there. Now on the Yarra trying my luck for something more elusive... Will keep you posted. If there's anything worth posting about that is!

2.5 hours spent soaking dead pillies, dead salmon and dead squid for 6 miserable pinkies with 2 released to grow a bit more. Slow fishing tonight.

Landed a 4 kg fish at midnight on squid , paternoster bottom hook . No other kharnt in sight

5Kg was the smallest one. You should have seen the biggest one...over 50 kg. :rofl:
