Just for the record guys - those rats are White Tailed Rats (I kno - no surprises there) but they are a pain in the butt all over OZ. My dads mate up in Cairns has 2 of them them stealing his fish (oscars - large freshwater fish) out of the pond. One of them grabs the fish and the other pulls him out by its tail with the fish...clever lil b****rds...

Ha, no flamethrowers please guys. The water rats sound like Rakali and are protected natives.
