Brighton Pier

Drove to Brighton Pier for my first look at the joint. Took some fresh pillies from the market. Second cast landed a nice 30cm pinkie but was then invaded by people casting right over my line. Maybe this the done thing in asia?

Anyway ruined what was a beautiful night!

Nice catch Johnny  but you picked the worst pier to fish if you want your own space especially on the concrete section. It's a bit better on the breakwall but no much people can be very rude

Thanks guys. Yeah I was just interested in checking it out. It is an impressive structure. I was pretty dismayed with the behaviour. Slaying 40cm bream was hard to watch. The peanut even knew how old that fish would of been, I can suffer ignorance but if you know better you're just an ocean raping idiot IMO.

I was on the rocks just where the rail ends and I was clearly there first. The guy first cast a squid jig out and tangled the nice old guy net to me, then he stood behind me on the walkway and cast straigh over me. I just cut his nice expensive braid each time it crossed my line. Guess being from Adelaide I have never had to deal with such people but it sounds all too common.

I felt I was a good chance of a big fish last night. High pressure, recent winds and a full moon.
