Any update, are the fish around?

fished today 12pm till 3pm with my usual soft plastic set up plenty of flathead around the 30 to 32 cm size only kept one needed to try my new victory fillet knife oh and helped a guy net a very nice 65cm snapper

Not a bad snapper for land based. Lucky guy!

yeah but the funny thing he was using a 12ft rod with a 2500 reel all good but as he was reeling in there was no descent runs he just reeled it in without much fight so while im watching the line thinking pinky when i netted thought what the hell the fish was in great condition nice big bump on the head great colours but no fight

Kind of reminds me of the 61 Cm one I caught last year. Terrible bite I had to strike to get a hook up and after that not a typical snapper right at all. Was quite disappointing actually.

yeah it would have had its gills slashed/ripped by the hooks or something similar, making it difficult to breathe for them, hence out of steam and fighting like a wet rag

had a quick fish late morning nothing big just some fillets for a snack caught on soft plastic,s
