Welcome to the forum mate! Do you fish lures or bait?
I haven't heard of bream around brighton, I have however heard of whiting being caught in the weed beds just past the baths in the similar area you mentioned.
May be some bream lurking amongst the boats but i've never seen one caught.
Cheers, I use soft plastics on light gear.

I've seen whiting caught off the rocks a few times but only ever seen one bream caught in the area

yes there are plenty of bream i don,t target them get them as a bycatch when fishing for gar,s .They take to long to grow and don,t taste the best in my opinion but are great fighter,s go down and watch the iso fisher,s if you want to learn how to catch them

Captain,s log 27/10/ 2019 nah anyway fished brighton mid morning for two hour,s my normal soft plastic,s setup only the one went 40cm the same as last season all the flatty,s were pretty much bang on 40cm .There,s one big bugger that i have hooked up on the last two season but keep,s breaking the braid on the rock,s might get him this year .the soft plastic was the zman houdini

no after a long fight last time i had it about three quarter,s the way up could feel my braid rubbing against,s the rock,s .There,s noway to get into open water were i fish , i could go to heavier braid and leader but then would miss other fish .my best flatty is 69cm so i know how they fight anyway that,s what makes fishing so much fun

yep that,s what i thought , it fight,s like a big flatty, is it the silver ghost dont know never hooked one would be the perfect place but i,m sticking to it being a big flatty it,s hitting the plastic on the bottom
