9/7/2016 flatties

Post by Lightningx » Sat Jul 09, 2016 11:12 pm

With the beautiful weather forecast the missus and I decided to launch the boat.
We launched after lunch and it only took us 10 minutes to reach our spot.

Started a drift in 5 metres and put out 2 bait rods while flicking a soft plastic each as well.

Wasn't long before the first flattie was on board.

Ended up with a total of 14 flatties. The bait of choice today was pippies.

The softplastics that did the damage were the powerbait minnows in the pumpkin seed colour and 4 inches in size.

We were on the water for around 2 hours.

Was a magnificent day on the water.

I remember that, I still haven't tried the spots we discussed and it's to cold for floundering now, I'll give the flat fish a try when it warms up a little .. LOL

Yea although I have got some nice ones throughout winter as well. But until I get a new pair of waders I don't think I will be wading in cold water lol my flounder light also blew its globe and I still haven't gotten around to fixing that either
Definitely looking forward to it in the warmer months again
