Brighton garfish

I have caught pinkies from the start of the pier all the way to the end and on the inside. Would be the same for snapper.

I haven't fished for them from there for awhile but I used to do alright a bit up from the sheltered spot but just before the rocks start good luck mate.

cheers mate, i used to get them half way along the pier opposite the shelters, but haven't fished for them in over ten years

About a dozen on the main pier, 1 guy said there are heaps on the rocks

Any luck with the gars mate?

fished for around 7 hrs no gar to be seen, also had 2 rods out 1 for whiting and 1 for pinkies, with out a touch
after 3 hrs i decided to flick for squid and the results were, 4 squid and only saw 2 other squid caught

Doesn't seem to be many gars around Brighton/port Melb area.
At least you caught some squid though

Silverfish, and and just pellets soaked with the sea water
