A couple of hours on the yak

Post by GONE FISHING » Thu Feb 18, 2016 4:48 pm

Headed out for a couple of hours. Got a mixed bag. Went home and put me feet up... Happy days

Pinkies went 30 - 34cm and flatty 45. Salmon destined for the bait freezer.

Turned the pinkies into fillets with curried rice... Mmmmm

Looks great! Making me want to give curried rice a go.

Do you bleed your sambos destined for bait? I try and leave them with all the juices in :P

Nice feed there mate! As mentioned though, best not to bleed sambos if using them for bait. Fresh salmon fillets, skinned and boned, do go well in the pan. No worse than snapper imo :)

Cheers fellas.

I actually planned on giving them a go filleted which is why I bled them. Then later on decided that I'd use their fillets to try and turn them into gummies.... Much better eating lol

And yeah the food was cracking... Can't take the credit there though me wife cooked that up... I keep telling her I did the hard part though.... She doesn't agree lol

For those of you who haven't tried it, curry rice is bloody awesome as a side with fish.

I use the below in my rice and it comes up superb
