I can understand the storm damage to the wooden parts of the pier but what possible damage could there be to a rock wall ?

I reckon it will be months. We can only hope it gets fixed before the start of the big reds.

According to the Royal Brighton Yacht Club site they have had access to the tower since the 21st, can anyone confirm if access to the breakwall is open again, haven't been down there for ages.

I was down there about 2 weeks ago and it was still fenced off. People were just jumping on the rocks and going around the fence to fish on the breakwall.
