its either that or the Aird X

Yeah man...I bought one a recently & use it on my Whiting setup (Shimano Impact Impact NXF). If you can get one for a $100'ish it's a fantastic reel.

Yes sienna, so they lasted just one season or they are good and are in good condition still?

I dont see the point in expensive reels for whiting/squid etc, billfish and deep drop I'll pay up for the best.

Haha the joys of text, I thought as you put (....) after it you were taking the pizz. Sounds good, dont need expensive gear for the bay. Look after them with fresh water and they'll last forever.

How bloody windy has it been the last few months? when does it end!!

Yeah they are great value at that price...
However once you get used to the good gear these reels feel average at best...
No need to spend the big bucks to catch bread and butter species though. So all good it's a personal choice..

Considering I had the same reels sitting in my BCF shopping cart for 2 weeks as I couldnt remember my email or password and couldnt be bothered calling, then saw the link here and it soon motivated me haha. Close to half the price so everyone is a winner.

What does everyone load their squid and whiting reels up with lb wise? 12lb?
