The saltist Nero or the freams combo both rediculously cheap

I don't know most of those models, would any of them be a decent salmon spinning reel?

I'm not up to speed on the ratio/retrieve rates on those daiwas but just from reputation I'd go with the freams in 3000 to 4000, keeping in mind daiwa are larger sizes than shimano

Those caldias are a really nice reel. really smooth. I got a 2500 for my spinning work. I got it on a nitro baby viper. I've done over some beast fish with it. I'm talking 30odd kg rays, in a boat though.

The freams are very similar just not as many bearings.

What are you looking at buying bowl?

For salmon spinning landbased, pick a reel that has a High speed retrieve. in daiwa reels that usually ends with a H like 3000H
the freams is a good reel for that price.

I got one of those shimano D's. It's a nice really. But at that price its not exactly a steal. Which one are you looking at? what are you going to use it on?

Thanks for that. I can never work out what the various codes and whatever mean.

10ft or 13 ft surf rod...either of the penn ...southern sport fisher some shimano bAit runner for 99 recently...
