picked up a shimano rod and reel combo for $99 today. I was rapt. A certain tackle store near me, sells the rod on its own for $120. You can get good bargains at bcf when they have sales

Although 90% of the time i shop @ independant tackle shops "owner run'' stores , BCF Laverton & Braybrook stores have always been good stores to vist .

yeah braybook store has been really good to me! specially Izzy , Thomas and tadahashi, have been big help! cheers to them! :D

Went to bcf bought a rod and reel as a combo for $170 instead of separately which would have cost me $250. Great bargains at bcf!

There's a new shop opened on Matthews Avenue just opposite (and north a bit) of the Essendon Airport called "Airport Angler" (?). Bloke I spoke to was very helpful and knew his fishing, he was waiting on more stock to arrive so I'm not sure on prices but it's worth a look.

there is compleat angler in camperfield. or Auzzie Angler in Greensbough/

The compleat angler in Campbellfield is the worst tackle shop in Australia & aussie angler dosen't have a much time for your average angler it's more for the upper class. SNOBS :down:
