Personally I would rather pay a fraction more and buy from one of the little guys - tough gig running your own shop with the big guns breathing down your neck.That personal service and experience is worth a few extra dollars here and there.

Most small shops are comparable in price to the big Aussie based online shops. I can get a Twinpower SW10000 fractionally cheaper than Motackles current price at my local, that's sticker price, not any deal or special. It pays to stop by a small shop on a windy day and look around. It's easy to work out a ballpark of what a reel/rod/whatever should cost prior

Ended up getting a Catana 902 for $78 and a Starlo Classix Surf 1062 for $94. Not too bad I suppose, probably saved about $40.
