There is no chance of getting me up early to save a few bucks. If prices are not where they could be I will wait for the right deal to come along. I have **** loads of gear that I can make do with.

Most sensible response to a tackle store sale, I've ever seen. Agree 100%

I think you wil find that the ones that do that are after the Stellas and the likes. Not for your average fishing gear.

It's funny coz these stocktake sales and clearance sale gets everyone!! Lol they still not losing and still making money. I think anything between 60%-85% would be a good price coz then only your paying what it's worth. I'll be up early to go fishing instead!! Lol

Who cares if they're still making money off it? If it's cheaper for the punters than it normally is then why not stock up?

Well I took the bait -- I was in the market for a 15 kg spin stick anyway for chucking lures at tuna and I had been eyeing off the Shimano Terez

I picked one up on the way to work this morning a 15 - 40 lb , 6' 9" white terez and with the 30% away came to $ 175 --- pretty happy with that

waiting for a 560 slammer from Dinga to match up with that and some 30 lb braid will have me ready for some serious paddling on the long W/E @ Warrnambool

bring on the tuna I say

looks like we have at least 13 punters and maybe more - a few will fish inshore but most are heading out to try and snag a tuna
