First trip since the move :-)

Post by Brett » Sat Jun 25, 2011 8:39 pm

Spoke to wolly last night and decided I would meet up with him at one of my productive local spots, to see if we could pick up a gummy on the high tide.

Got there at 6pm only to then find out wolly had to leave at 6:30 :o anyway, threw a bait out(eel) and by the time I had gone and grabbed a glow stick and cracked it I was getting a reasonable bite, only to get snagged and bust off some gear

A little after that wolly got a reasonable bite, atleast it was a shark lol just a stinking draughtboard shark  and on that fish it was time for him to go, so he trundled off into the darkness.
About half an hour passed and I was tossing up to stay or to go home, impatient bastard I am  when I noticed a small bite on one of my rods, which sparked my interest again. Went to the rod and let a few more bites go past then thought bugger it I'll put some pressure on to see if it hooks, low and behold a few head shakes and a little zzzzzzzz from the drag and it was time to start winding, it took two more small runs and then was at my feet :super:

Hope to get wolly one tomorrow night

yep it is shaz, Eclipse 12ft and a 6500c3. It's a nice little outfit, though a touch light, it does a good job landbased in WP which is where most of my gummy hunts happen. rod was $45(someone else brought it for me) and the reel was a gift from a member of the site.
