Westernport Gummy

Post by maxmikoo » Thu May 23, 2024 12:44 am

Hey all, never used to fish westernport but as winter approaches i've been heading down there a lot. I'm pretty confident w catching squid for bait, but i'm struggling with targeting gummy's. So far i've spent about 50 or 60 hours fishing with 2 caught. One very small and one big one that you'd almost call an accident. My question is ; where should i be fishing which i'm clearly not? I've been sitting in channels off hastings and crib point between 12 and 18m deep. I've fished the full moon, all of run in and outs, sunsets using fresh bait. Sone people manage to nail gummy's everytime, and big ones. I seem to be nailing skates banjos port jackson's and all the rest. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
