new rod

Post by Gummysmasher » Tue Aug 15, 2017 6:24 pm

i'm looking for a new gummy rod that is within $100~$200, not sure weather to go overhead, or spinning reel. It will be used from a boat and usually western port but will get runs in port phillip bay.

Don't care for graphite for the purpose. My all time favourite is the now discontinued ugly stik Gb 1706. They dropped that size and bought out differing models, so I'd go the slightly shorter ugly stick platinum gb1609 and charter special. The gb1800 is to long

The new Jewel range from shimano look really good, in your price point and a mate tells me they feel awesome in the hand, worth a look.
