Why do you even bother commenting then?
No burley that was the question which I answered no.
Learn a little about the species your targeting should tell you why burley isn't required.

Of course I talk to my self while fishing.. sometimes I need expert advice! :fishing:

Ben amd i used a spare rod to send a burley bomb to the bottom.
We use to fill up a papper bag with burley and tie it to the snap on the end of spare rod and then tie a 10lb sinker to same snap swival.
Then send it to the bottom, wait 10 mins and then jerk the rod 3 times and wind up.
The bag burst leaving the burley near the bottom and wind up and discard the old bag. Repeat every 30 mins to 1 hr.

Not sure if it helped or not but theory is there

What do you do? Do you burley? What bait do you use? How do you put the bait on (chunks? Fillet? Head?) What rig do you use? Running sinker? Patenoster? Do you keep your bait 1m off the seabed?

Any advice/info would be appreciated! :)
Paternoster should be good and blue bait are the best mate! No need for burley, you tend to pick up to many small things! Just put the whole blue bait on mate.

cheers and good luck! :a_goodjob:

In a nutshell. Don't screw around with frozen baits. No burley. Use fresh chunk baits on 8/0 circles with 80lb leader. Sinker to suit the tide. Put out 4 rods with a mix of fresh chunk baits.

Spend the time/effort on collecting fresh bait. 8 yakkas will last a 12 hour session generally.

yes i know its not me caue ive never fished gummies with you, was just pulling your legs. aka pattern emerging (getting your a$$ handed to you by mates hahaha)

in regards to burley i would personally only do it if i havent got any bites in a while, at thats stage any bycatch is most likely a good thing for me anyway
