I was using a tld15 with 30lb mono and got dusted multiple times last year. I was casting into deeper water as conditions were rarely right for ballooning. The tld 30 works great in the boat, just can't cast it.

I'm a bit worried about the same thing happening with my lethal 30 which is why I'm looking at something bigger. I've got 600m of 30lb braid on the lethal though and probably have room to bump that up to 900m so hopefully I'll be in with a chance of landing something large. I'll probably use it mainly for bait sliding rather than ballooning as it seems to cast ok
2015/16 Fisting Victoria Species comp total: 289cm
Brown Trout: 37cm
Flathead: 51cm; Squid: 36cm; Australian Salmon: 51cm; Snapper 46cm; Silver Trevally 23cm; KGW: 45cm

If you get that much line in the water the resistance alone will pop it. Would take about 3 days to wind it back in :-D
