Hey guys, i am new to the forum, i am going for a fish on saturday morning was thinking stkilda pier or sandringham breakwater, i havent fished at sandringham before and was wondering if anyone could please help me out with some tips or where to fish.

Either/or i'd say. @ Sandringham i'd fish towards the end. Cast towards the edge of the channel markers with a Paternoster or Running Sinker.
My recommendation for tackle for both places would be;
1/0 all the way through to 5/0 hooks depending on target,
3 or 4 Sinker depending on weather,
& Pilchard or Squid as bait.
Try to line it up with sunrise and change of tide, i've found them to be a little more active.

Awsome mate cheers, really appriciate the help. Going out at about 3 am, high tide is around 6:30 so fingers crossed. Cheers again.

100% blue shark. They aren't that common in the bay, but are very common in Bass Strait. I'm guessing the occasional blue boy gets lost after following some bait inside the heads.
