Schoolie sesh

Post by shazdoggg » Fri May 01, 2015 2:40 pm

My friend is down from the US of A and she's been pestering me to take her fishing! We both had a day off last thurs so we lined up a late arvo session on a mates boat and we headed out of stony. Target species was gummy and snapper but we didnt get either. Started sinking beers and drifted for squid in coronet bay for an hr with not so much as a follow. 4 beers each later we dropped the pick just east of french island and deployed 6 rods. Taylor's rod was the first to buckle she pulled in a small schoolie. Told her it had teeth, but she still grabbed it for a pic anyways haha  Plenty of banjo's, port jacksons and we all managed 2 school sharks each. Best bait was fresh(market) slimey and yakka. Was slow compared to the past few outings but we all had a great day! :-D

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
