Ballooning out is not absolutely necessary for Lagoon sevengills. Just use big oily/bloody baits like mullet or salmon fillets, draws them in I reckon.
Sevengills are no comparison to decent gummies or other toothies but they're only a 15 minute drive away.

There should be heaps of info in the forum database on gunnamatta, balnarring and merricks. A lot of the posts are from 2 or 3 yrs ago, but will still hold true today. I know there is heaps of info there, as I wrote a lot of it :tongue:

At no time can your line cross an imaginary line drawn 50m from the pier (even if a fish pulls it over)

There was too much to filter through when i searched 'Shark' but those specific locations came up with plenty of info. Thanks :)

Yeah, i heard a bit about that. Don't know how true it is but apparently fisheries even measures your line as your reeling..

How the hell do you have a pier in the middle of a marine park with rod holders fitted to the rails and only given 50 meters to cast out or get fined ??? :wall:
