This is my set up, it pick up every little nibble, no problems with the wind like bells, and with some of the other alarms the fish has to be hooked before they sound

Have you tried that in the salt? Would it have issues with line movement with wave action?

I use bells much to the annoyance of others, I bought some electronic ones to try also, couldn't put up with the noise so now I set them up in my shed as an alarm, :thumbsup: cheers davo

But it's an even better feeling releasing them

I have never used them in saltwater, as they are very sensitive, in my opinion wave action would be a problem.
