No mate. Just wish 25 yrs ago freezing my but off on Point Lonsdale Pier at night I had that comfort!Bugatti wrote:Thanks, Brownie. Don and I know we got carried away with the two Karts. I shall post the story behind those karts, it's one of those stories that when I tell people, they are moved. Post to come.

Re: Bugatti Jetty/Pier kart
G'day muzz, thanks. They are over the top but the story behind the making of the two Karts is Mate Don and I fish from my boat but when weather wasn't permitting we'd land-base off of some Jetties/Piers. We'd use my "tradie cart" which I would use to cart my tools around a job. But it was cumbersome. So we built purpose built Fishing Carts and yes, got carried away. BUT the making of them (slowly with breaks over a 6 month period) was therapeutic for Don, who was going through some hard times, and truth be told, it helped me too, .
I thought I'd reply on this thread as it show cases the two carts.
Cheers, Bugatti

Re: Bugatti Jetty/Pier kart
Wow looks like the cheap one im gonna do look like it belongs in the rubbish (just a cheap pair of kmart esky's and some rod holders).
Re: Bugatti Jetty/Pier kart
Now saph, I liked your post not because you said about yours belonging in the rubbish, which I don't think.
But
That you are making one. Always nice tinkering and making a cart, a sense of achievement and pride. It also saves carrying and lugging gear by hand cumbersomely AND you can take what you need not just what you can carry.
I always love seeing others handwork, shows individuality, well done.
Cheers, Bug

Amazing! May I suggest a sunshade/rainproof awning, stretcher bed and LED lighting for version x.

Re: Bugatti Jetty/Pier kart
They're great bug
Some great ideas
When/if I build mine, it will be based on a mobility scooter
Being a ride on, it may need an "esky" trailer, for iced tea.
Cheers Gra

Re: Bugatti Jetty/Pier kart
Just add a rod rack and tow bar to the scooter and I'm sure "the bug" front end could be modified to allow a tow point
