fg knot tool

Post by Nude up » Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:02 pm

Has anybody used the fg knot tool made by daiichi. I can tie one at home on the bench but luckily never had one fail out on the boat. Keen to hear if the tool makes it quicker and easier at the moment I tie it like adrian from big angry fish.

Have a crack at it my way. I don't think you need a tool.

Stick rod in holder or lean away from you, chuck the line in your mouth and start tying.

And heres how i do it, no teeth, legs, tools or anything required...
a bit tricky with light lines, but anything above 10lb is easily doable.
i can do the FG in just under a minute using that method (10 wraps each side though)
