Where to put outrigger surports?
Finally got around to buying carbon fibre outriggers for the new boat.
Just wondering if this is a good spot to place the outrigger bracket?
Or where abouts should i put it?
This is the.side of the boat.

Re: Where to put outrigger surports?
Thats pretty much where mine are, mine are just higher up. I would put the poles in the brkts and see how they look you don't want the tips to low to the water or with the boat movement the can dig in and you will break them

Re: Where to put outrigger surports?
mine are near the top of my rocket launcher. Being an engineer I couldnt stand the fact that there was a slight difference in the height of the rigger tips so I put spacers under the rigger bases to get the tips the same height.smile0784 wrote:Thanks

Re: Where to put outrigger surports?
I was thinking doing the same thing but didnt want to bubble the paint work welding a plate up higher. And then have it peeling down the track.
If i put them on the side.
Will then get in thw way when walking down the side when launching the boat etc

You could use two ally plates with spacers between to stop the plates bending.

Re: Where to put outrigger surports?
And put 3 bolts threw from the outrigger bracket to the inside of the cabin?
Would the 3 bolts be enough or do i need to put extra bolts in?
