Fish Oil

Post by denis barden » Mon Jun 26, 2017 8:24 pm

I'm sure the Tuna/Fish oil in most bait shops is rubbish
Ive got 4 large plastic containers with year old Bay Trout in them I'm gunna make my own oil for Gars
Has any body else tried this process?
Gars tomorrow morn and Bay Trout at Portarlington in the a/noon

I put in a 3 gall bucket that is on the boat-Chook pellets, bay trout frames, gar heads and the scales of the newly caught gars.
I use a plastic mug to throw it into the water ,I top it up with sea water and gar water scale water
I use year old Bay Trout chopped into small squares for bait
I still miss heaps

the gars can be a very hard fish to hook. When I was fishing for them a year or two back I used the mustad fine worm size 10s and squid candle they are ultra thin and sharp didn't miss many. Did u catch any this morning? Interesting to see if the salmon oil worked
