Will these short out riggers work?

Been looking for outriggers
Found these ones but only 3.5 mt long for $390 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322563221948

Or am i better off going for 4.5mt ones for $600.

the longer ones have a better base. they are better for putting on a hard top or the side of the boat. Im pretty sure the shorter ones with the rod holder base could only really be put on the gunwale like a normal rod holder.

I'd go for the longer package.

But yeah the longer riggers will hold your lures out of the wash a lot better than those shorter ones will.

X3 for the longer ones my original poes were pacific fibreglass but were to soft so I bought the 4.5 mt carbon fibre light weight but stiff. My only problem is they are 2 piece but once rigged I can not take them apart luckily they fit exactly inside my boat.
As scott said it will keep the rigger lures in clean water
