The slider is variable you adjust the light you need, the slider ramps up to max or min or anywhere in between, for baiting up and watching the rod I have mine on about 35 to 40 lumen, when I hook up I ramp it up to maximum till I net the quarry, then back to 40 to 50 lumen, on one 18650 battery I get one full night, I carry a spare but till now have not needed it.

Ebay cheapies - paid 4 bucks for one with adjustable beam, various illumination modes and a Cree LED (runs on 3 x AAAs).

Had it for over 4 years now and has never missed a beat.

Hi Guys,

i ended up buying the led lenser H14R.2, great light and very bright, however the boost mode (1000 Lumens) can only stay on for approximately 30 secs. Im actually pretty disappointed about that and might return it for that reason.

Hornet how long can the HC90 stay on for in max mode (900 Lumens)?

Cheers Joe

That's terrible mate. I would return it as well and get something else.

You could just about cook your fish with 1000 lumens
