Shoes for Rocks

Hey All, i am in need of a suitable pair of shoes to wear on fishing adventures, does anyone have any suggestions? i wear them walking on rocks and walking trails etc

I use a pair of Merrells boots if u r on slippery stuff would need something else but meets 80 percent of the use cases. I use them for hiking as well.

Funnily enough i was looking at some Merrells and they feel great, have heard good things, maybe they might be the way to go

ive got a pair of merrell hikers with vibram sole but i prefer to use hockey boots which have a sole to some footy/soccer boots for rockfishing(saltwater). They're super light so even if they get wet(which they will) you wont care.

if your fishing freshwater streams etc you cant go past a good pair of simms wading boots or high top merrels for wet wading with pants

Cheers Shazz, i don't do any freshwater fishing let alone wading (unless a big wave gets me on the beach)

are your Merrells light?

I've been searching for a similar shoe for a while now. Finally found a great pair. Lo and behold I couldn't find them in my size. Merrel aquaterra's

They sell them at BCF and Rays Outdoors BM, I wouldn't buy shoes online to save 20 or 30 $ as i like to try them on first
