So what you're saying is you're offering advice on something you haven't done and no nothing about. News flash, carp smell like poop all the time.

I've swum near crown.

The river is dirty. There are a bunch of sources that will tel lyou it's dirty. It's a river in a city, ofcourse it's dirty. It's not going to kill you. Obvioiusly, don't drink the water.

As long as you're not in the channel (no ****) you should be fine. Specific to the warmies, if you want to swim the power station outlet stay upstream of the boat ramp and you'll be fine.

You wouldn't dive the yarra because visibility is rarely more than 1m. But it ain't going to kill you.

Seems like the sort of place you could pick up a nice ear infection especially after some rain, but the jokes about glowing in the dark after eating fish from there are just that. Health and safety aside though, I can think of plenty of nicer places to swim or dive.

The amount of sinkers you would pick up if somehow the warmies channel had some clear water. Would need two cars to take thema ll home.

I went to the big apple rock concert back in the 80s,and i also swam the Yarra river, and not to mention jumping off Swanson St bridge at the Yarra. I still have nightmares thinking about it.The water was so deep,i could see the light above me but seemed that it took forever to surface to the top on my last grasp of air. [with all my clothes on]

I thought i would add this bit of got noting to do with this topic just to keep you all entertained.
