fishing Waratah bay

Post by Bosco2626 » Thu Dec 21, 2023 3:08 pm

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up for a trip to Waratah Bay in a few weeks for some fishing. I've heard it's a hotspot for kings George whiting, but I'm wondering about other fish varieties, best baits, techniques, rigs, and the sweet spots along the beach to cast my line. I'm also curious if there's any place in town to get bait or if I have to bring my own in, many thanks?

Thanks a bunch!

Tougher project, the beaches at walkerville north and south tend to be a bit reefy, with whiting beyond them. Further around the beaches catch more swell, likely for salmon more than whiting. Still a great spot.
