Went to Adelaide and went to South Australia Maritime Museum, saw these. Kinda sad.

That is one of my favourite museums I’ve been to. The whaling and maritime disaster history in that museum is incredible, well worth a look.

Cane rods and old reels adorn the walls of my 'chalet'. Last one I acquired is a split cane rod in very good condtion- its now matched with an old Alvey side cast.

I used to find a lot in op shops but they are rare now.
