Re: WHATS YOUR BEST FISH?
A 8lb 8oz (3.85kg) wild brown trout that I caught & released in the River Leven way back in April 2018, it was caught on a small $5-00 hard body.
It took me 15 minutes to land, still remember that day like it was yesterday too..
I've also caught a lot Snapper when I used to live and fish in Sth Aust, best Snapper went 36 lb, but that was back in 1972 when I used to fish for them four nights a week.
cheers
Adrian

Re: WHATS YOUR BEST FISH?
Quite a lot I've never bothered to measure or weigh especially things like Salmon, squid, trevally, general undersirables etc. but of those I have...
Bream: 48cm from a metropolitan drain in 40cm of water.
Estuary Perch: 47cm whilst trespassing government property.
Bass: 46cm fork. If the ruler went beyond 47cm I'd likely be able to claim the magic 50cm
Snapper: 94cm with all the big lumps and bumps.
School Shark: 4'8"
Gummy: 6'1"
Kingfish: 102 or 104cm I can't remember.
Mulloway: 113cm. Whilst half cut when under-age drinking... Don't recommend trying to ride a bike with all the gear plus a good fish pissed after copping the mother of all summer downpours...
Flathead: 74cm yank off Flinders.
