My thoughts and prayers are with everyone near the fires
I'm not fit enough anymore to fight fires
Maybe I can help rebuild fences, or something, in the New Year
Keep safe

We got to Albury this morning and turned around. Bateman's is also being evacuated to the beach. Nowra is on fire.

There are basically fires or fire danger from Bairnsdale to Coffs Harbour. For perspective that's longer than the entire Western Front in WWI.

For gods sake, if emergency services people give you an instruction, follow it.

One of my mates has been evactuated to Eden from Mallacoota, roads are clogged and the sky is practically orange with haze. Wouldn't be surprised if he has to leave eden soon, entire south coast is on prepare to leave notice and Bermagui has been evacuated from what i've heard.

Also have a few family friends in east gippy, hope they'll be ok.

Be safe everyone. Listen to emergency services and stay alert.
