Jason if those southern end piers are too far for you to go to, try Beaumaris or even mordialloc piers mate.
I have caught plenty of nice squid from both those piers :thumbsup:

My biggest squid (45cm hood) and most squid caught in a session (15) were down at beaumauris, it's a beautiful little spot. Cast out to either the left or the right of the pier depending on the wind.

Looks like you know what you're doing and doing well.
May I know why do you need someone to take you? Just need a fishing buddy?
I fished those mentioned piers and had a lot of success.

If I get invited onto someone's boat I always offer to chip in, either pay for the fuel fill up, bait, cash or even offer to bring food and drinks.
