I did this for a few years about 10 years sgo. Fisheries rang me up randomly and asked me about doing it for their research. I would also get a regular call from one of their managers every month or so. I recorded everything. I ticked the box which meant I would get the diary back. I don't do anymore but I've still got the diaries. Every now and then I still check on it specially around snapper time. I think they have people around the state doing it so they can gauge how fishing is going. I imagine they would have lots of interesting data collected.

I used to fill one out, but, they got sick of going through the blank pages to find the one fish I caught
