Sealing Cork

Post by russellh2 » Sun Dec 16, 2018 1:36 pm

Guys/Gals
Looking at new project - "Making Cork Floats"
Questions:-
1...How do I seal the float/s?
2...What is the best type of sealant/paint to use - Acrylic etc?
3...What do wooden lure makers use?
4...Would it be suitable for cork?

Yep - Know I can buy Floats but have got the itch to give it a try.

TIA

I've used ROD DANCER ULTIMATE EPOXY from The Rod Works because that's just what i had laying around. I pasted it allover the cork, rubber it in and just wiped off the excess. It worked really well.

Otherwise I'm pretty sure The Rod Works has a specific sealant for cork.

Or like what was said above, any type of penetrating sealant would probably do the job.
