My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 31, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because this thread literally gave me cancer anyway.

Secondly, I wasn't laughing at cancer. My OWN grandfather died of it, as well as plenty of my family. Cancer itself isn't funny. But the joke Ducky made was humorous.. because this thread actually IS cancer and just became more cancer...

Kimtown you and Mattblack may be able to interpret the banter between you two but others can read it differently. You may call the cancer comment sarcasm but I call it bad taste. I'm hear to try and keep the peace while being called out for not doing one thing or over doing another. The mods are not here to be ridiculed, we are simply trying to do what we can to keep the forum running smoothly, some members are making that hard. Enough already, cheers davo

Saying you got cancer from a post. Regardless of what the situation it is said in is really bad taste.
It almost belittles people who suffer from the damn thing.
Making a mockery of that post again is even worse.

Please have some respect and keep the cancer and **** like that out of jokes. People can easily misinterpret things on the internet.
