Who has this lure?

Post by trout-hunter » Mon Sep 03, 2018 8:17 pm

Hey all,
Does anyone know what brand lure this could be? I brought it from kmart about 25 years ago and its absolutely deadly on trout! I stopped using it a very long time ago because i was horrified of loosing it. I only ever used it in safe places where i knew there was no snags and it always paid off. It has no brand name on it and is a sinking lure.

Cheers everyone

I don't know what you lure is but it has reminded me of a time some years back when I was new to fishing and still reading a lot of articles and old forum posts about various fishing topics; I saw a mention on the old fishnet forums about a particular Jarvis Walker lure that, came in a kit but was no longer made but was especially good for trout. I don't know what it looked like because there were no pictures but maybe they were referring to the same lure.

The shape of it looks very much like a Nils Master Invincible.

After a bit of research I'd say Windknot is spot on and the color is 094

I think I rescued that exact lure out of a snag on the rubicon river one day (along with a couple of others)

I'll dig the trout gear out tomorrow and have a look.

Made me feel old when there classed as vintage though. Those were the good old days when kmart sold good rapala lures and guns haha.. how the times have changed.
