boat insurance
Hi guys,
Need some advice, is it worth getting boat insurance?
I have a older boat 1980s has 115 hp Johnson 2000 model , I will do some watersports down the track
I can insure it all for just under 10k for about 370 bucks with club marine (youi were 780 ouch)
Anyway is it worth it or not?
cheers Dave

Re: boat insurance
the other thing to think about with insurance (especially if you water ski)...is you get public liability as part of it.
So if you hurt someone, or break something of someone elses while driving your boat, the insurance "should" cover it...

Peace of mind. I’m with club marine and had to make a claim with them over a year ago now and got resolved real quick

Re: boat insurance
absolutely yes, don't think about it as coving your boat, think about it as covering everyone else around you.... (probably should get the water sports added cover as well)...you can get a discount if you're not using it over winter.dlock99 wrote:Hi guys,

Re: boat insurance
Here's my way of thinking on this subject.
Credit to you for asking the question, I think the advice given to you, suggests you get insurance.
Would you drive a car on the road with out it ? would be absolutely foolish to do so.
SO, its the same for you boat, if not, let me know where you launch from, so I can stay well clear of you !
Not sure if you can just get 3rd party only for a boat ?
But I would have thought and believe it should be mandatory........
Club marine are great to deal with
