Lol, there's a few of those around! The cosco trolleys are the better ones...so I've heard anyway ;)

PPB is a baron puddle that needs some structure. Plenty of fishos know it, and some take matters into their own hands to accommodate. Been going on for decades at the very least.

There's a few homemade reefs out there. It's your challenge to try to find them...
I've seen a sounder shot of a trolley reef off Mornington, and there was no disputing what they were. Being made of stainless, they have a chance to get some growth on them before the salt eventually gets the better of them.

A bloke at my previous job strapped his shitty old trailer to the boat and launched it with the trailer attached. They drove out to their reef and cut the straps. **** I laughed when he told me about it. If you see a reefy patch on the sounder in 5m in the middle of a sandy desert off Chelsea it might be his mark.

The issue with the DIY reefs is that the stuff people are building them from can have contaminants in them which can leak out, so if people use old bits of metal and concrete that’d be heaps better than stuff that’s full of lubricants and other ****.

DIY FADs would be pretty easy to make, chain a bunch of cinder blocks together and tie on a length of rope with a 10l drum at the end. Plonk a bunch of them in water deep enough that the drum is 10-15m below the surface so it doesn’t tangle up a ship and you’d have your own private kingy mark.

There’s bloody hundreds of dumps in the bay... I reckon it’s playing it’s own role in keeping resident fish in the bay

Would a couple of shopping trolleys actually hold fish tho?? Would it be big enough to keep them around??
Would of thought you’d need 50 of the bloody things to make a decent structure
