Heard on the 3AW rumour file this morning that anglers are creating their own reefs in the Bay by sinking old boats to create a structure and marking the spot so they can come back and fish there ... Has anyone heard about this??

Years ago an old guy in werribee used to take things out like old stoves and heavy metal items and drop them in the same spot every time starting his personal reef. He lined up land marks to find the same spot every time.

Sort of like an old time Nudeups secret spot.

There would be a lot of these all over Aus. It's a bit like old wrecks that have been sunk by authorities.
