Winter fishing in the Ocean grove\Bellarine area

Hey all!

Looking to take the ol'man out fishing in the area but wouldnt know the best spots to go. I've dropped a few lines off Barwon heads bridge in the past but only caught toadies.

Any recommendations on where to fish in the area and what bait to use?

The sheep wash area can be quite good mate.
The missus and I enjoy fishing that spot and usually end up catching something whether it be salmons, mullet or trevally always usually a bit of fun :thumbsup:

Down at the end of sheep wash road in Barwon heads

Go over the bridge into Barwon Heads go straight through the roundabout and keep going till you get to the bend passing the primary school , keep going until you get to the next roundabout you will see the Apco on your left again go through the roundabout and follow that road to the end and thats it Sheepwash Bend. You can also try the jetty near the restaurant to the left of the bridge.

You could also head down to Pt Lonsdale to the pier for squid or over to St Leonards or Portarlington piers for squid and whiting even the odd snapper
