Ideas for Sunday fishing
Hoping to head out northern PPB on Sunday, undecided what to target. Any suggestions?
Are gummies around this (cold) time of year ?
I’m having withdrawals from being on the water, as I’ve been busy with life for a month or so and I have made some wiring mods installing an nmea network and extra lights etc etc so I’m keen to just get out.
Catching dinner would be a bonus.
If no winter snapper or gumbos are around I might chase some squid.
Ideas ??

Thanks fellas.
I only use 2 methods for weather/wind
1 - fish ranger and
2 - get down there and see
Squid sounds like a starter for me

Gummies are definitely around this time of year... I wouldn’t be fishing north PPB though. Western Port....
A lot of pinkies, Salmon and squid around up north PPB.

This time of year I’d be targeting squid and salmon. Still plenty of pinkies around too

Thanks Lightningx, I like the idea of WP as also mentioned, but I’m not sure it’s a good idea to make my first attempt in the wee dark hours.Lightningx wrote:This time of year I’d be targeting squid and salmon. Still plenty of pinkies around too
So maybe I’ll hit the southern part of PPB ?

Re: Ideas for Sunday fishing
Thanks for the guide "when" I get a better chance I'll definitely try there. I'd like to try WP in the daylight, for my first time. I've heard there's a lot of shallow channels and the tides are strong so I'd better do some research. I'm like that. I like to research stuff before I do it. Ha ha some call me a procrastinator but I don't know I haven't made my mind up about that yet :rofl:STriplett1997 wrote:Yota wrote:Thanks Lightningx, I like the idea of WP as also mentioned, but I’m not sure it’s a good idea to make my first attempt in the wee dark hours.Lightningx wrote:This time of year I’d be targeting squid and salmon.
