Boot waders with thick woolen socks on over jeans and thermals if required. Usually does the job for me just gotta be careful not to get hit by a wave.

I find being crotch deep in water is the norm on a surf beach rather the exception, hence asking my questions regarding protection from the cold and mobility.tommyfishunter wrote:Boot waders with thick woolen socks on over jeans and thermals if required. This might be of interest to you Rivers-Tex Rain Busterhornet wrote:Guy's.. I intend to be more mobile on the surf beaches this winter / salmon season with lure fishing, the general consensus is to walk and cast till you find them.. my problem is my full length wades and the half length waders are to restrictive, though they do keep me warm. What have you found to be warm and not hinder your movements ? I can't seem to find something light that keeps my legs warm and dry and not restrict walking long distances, I've always been a bait fisho so mobility is not an issue, I cast the the bait out and sit on a stool in the same area.
shorts with thongs or sandals are not an option for me in winter.
What have you found that works ?
No fear of that my mates recon their kept in my wife's handbag ... I beg to differ ! :rofl:Texas wrote:You can buy electric ball warmershornet wrote:I find being crotch deep in water is the norm on a surf beach rather the exception, hence asking my questions regarding protection from the cold and mobility.tommyfishunter wrote:Boot waders with thick woolen socks on over jeans and thermals if required.
