Swimbait rod?

Ain’t too many moderately priced swimbait rods that I know of. I’m not that well versed in em. But most I’ve seen have been $300+

A great rod, you'd pick it up somewhere in Melbourne like BCF. I've caught cod on it.

Swimbait rods for cod are largely intended for lake fishing; not well suited for chasing cod in rivers. Davek tried mine out this weekend and didn't like it. So unless you are going to throw out really heavy lures in lakes I'd stick to a shorter baitcasting rod that will be more flexible in a variety of fishing situations.

Best Wishes

Another technique, cod will take anything when hungry, I will stick to the techniques that have worked for me over the years in the very limited number of times I now target cod.
